ARRL Field Day (https://www.arrl.org/field-day) will take place on Saturday and Sunday, June 28-29, 2025. As we did last year, our operations will take place in the air-conditioned Athens Red Cross facility, 100 South May Avenue (map). Set-up will begin at 10:30am on Saturday, with a safety briefing / training session at 10:45am, followed by assembly of the station. On the weekend of January 25-26, 2025, members of the ACARA met at the Jim Crouse Memorial Radio Station in the Athens Red Cross chapter house to participate in the annual Winter Field Day (https://www.winterfieldday.com/) event in class “1I” (one transmitter, “indoors”).
