Volunteer Examiner Coordinator (VEC) Schedule

Registration starts one half hour before the scheduled exam times. Red Cross location is tentative depending on building closing or weather for a parking lot session for warmer weather. We are an ARRL Volunteer Examiner Team. Test fee is $15. So long as you pass, you may continue to take additional exam elements for the same fee. Re-tests require an additional test fee. If you are testing for an upgrade, please bring a copy (Reference or Official) of your current license to sent in with your paperwork.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
As of April 19, 2022, the FCC will charge a $35 fee for all new licenses, renewals or new vanity call signs issued. For new licensees, the VE team WILL NOT collect any FCC fees at the time of testing. Successful examinees will receive an email with a link for paying the fee before a callsign is issued. The fee will not apply to normal license modifications or license upgrades.
The FCC is no longer allowing applicants to use their Social Security Number on their Amateur Radio applications. Applicants must apply online for for a Federal Registration Number (FRN) prior to the exam session and use that for identification on their application Form 605.
