The NC8V Memorial Trophy is presented annually to the ACARA member with the highest score in the ARRL 10-Meter Contest in recognition of the life and accomplishments of past-member John Cornwell, NC8V (SK).
Four ACARA members participated in the 2018 ARRL 10-Meter Contest and were, therefore, in the running for the coveted NC8V Memorial Trophy:
- Carl Denbow, N8VZ, was time-limited but made 15 QSOs for a score of 270 points;
- Eric McFadden, WD8RIF, managed 25 QSOs for a score of 900 points;
- new member Jeramy Duncan, KC8QDQ, was time-limited but made 59 QSOs for a score of 2,728 points; and
- Josh Cash, KE8EAS, operated the whole weekend and made 197 QSOs for a score of 40,492 points.
President Eric McFadden presented the 2018 NC8V Memorial Trophy to Josh Cash at the ACARA’s annual Holiday Dinner on December 18. This makes the third consecutive year in which Josh has won the NC8V Memorial Trophy. Well done, Josh!
