The ACARA will return to the Athens County Fairgrounds the weekend of June 26 and 27, 2021 for a group operation in the ARRL Field Day event.
The club will participate in Class 1A with one HF SSB/CW station and one VHF SSB/FM/CW station using temporary antennas and emergency power.
Set-up will begin at 10am on Saturday. The Field Day event begins at 2pm on Saturday runs for 24 hours. Tear-down will begin at 2pm on Sunday.
We need operators! Anyone, regardless of license class, can operate either station. Field Day is an excellent opportunity for those without a home station to get some time on-the-air. Experienced elmers will be on-hand to help those who are new to the hobby.
Joe Weber, KE8LRZ, has volunteered to serve as the official Field Day grill-master and will have burgers and brats available for those on-site at dinnertime on Saturday and will have eggs and bacon available for those on-site on Sunday morning.
Please join us for Field Day!
