ARRL Field Day is nearly upon us!
The ACARA will be participating in Field Day at the Athens County Fairgrounds. We will be competing Class 1A, meaning “One Transmitter, Club or Non-Club Group”, with one HF station and one 6m VHF station. Anyone who visits the site may operate either station, regardless of license class, and even unlicensed individuals may operate. Experienced mentors will be on-hand to help inexperienced operators.
Set-up for Field Day will begin at 10am on Saturday the 25th. Field Day operations will commence at 2pm on Saturday the 25th and will continue for 24 hours until 2pm on Sunday the 26th. Tear-down will begin at 2pm on Sunday the 26th.
Please come to the fairgrounds to help set-up, to operate, to help tear-down, or just to see what’s going on.
